When booking with Sealife – Atividades Marítimo-Turísticas, Lda., you will be entering a contract with said company following these conditions:

1. Sealife does Dolphin Watching trips on board two different types of boats: two 9m RIB’s that take up to 12 passengers (clients) and one 11m Catamaran that takes up to 22 passengers (clients); Coastal trip to Sagres on board two 9m RIB’s that take up to 12 passengers (clients); and trips to Benagil Cave on board two 9m RIB’s that take up to 12 passengers (clients).

2. The client should be at the Meeting Point 10min before departure. Refunds will not be provided due to lateness of client.

3. Refunds will only be granted up to 24h before departure or in exceptional cases such as: proven illness by client or bad weather / sea conditions / mechanic conditions determined by Sealife’s team.

4. The Dolphin Watching trip is 1.30h and it doesn’t come with guaranties of seeing dolphins. It’s a trip out on the Atlantic Ocean to find wild dolphins in their natural habitat. Guaranteed that our team will do everything possible for the client to be able to observe them, within the time of the trip. Refunds or do overs will not be provided. All the clients are aware prior to engaging in contract with Sealife that it is wildlife and there are no guaranties.

5. Sealife reserves the right to cancel or rebook any of its trips due to weather / sea conditions or even due to circumstances out of Sealife’s control.

6. Sealife reserves the right to deny transportation of pregnant ladies, small children or people with disabilities / spine conditions / heart conditions / mental and or physical conditions that may decrease the safety of the client, when in bad weather / sea conditions. Such will be determined by our team at the moment of the trip. This evaluation is exclusive to safety considerations and in no other way will affect statuary rights or is of any descrimination. A refund or a rebooking of the trip will be offered (if available).

7. It is the client’s responsibility to inform our team about any health or medical conditions that may affect the client’s participation on the trip. It is the client’s responsibility to immediately call attention of the team about any uncomfortable situation that may occur during the trip.

8. Sealife is obligated to provide insurances (demanded by Portuguese law). It is the client’s responsibility to assess your own risk when requisitioning Sealife’s services.

9. In any of our trips, Sealife does not provide any sort of beverages or refreshments or sanitary facilities.

10. Sealife reserves the right to end the trip and return to port at any point if any sort of inappropriate behaviour by the client is present. Such will be determined by our team and any expenses, such as but not limited to refunds or rebooking’s, that arise from said behaviour will be supported by the client with inappropriate behaviour.

11. Our team’s decision is considered final and any complaints should be communicated in writing to Sealife within 7 days after the trip.

12. Our team will not accept a check-in without a valid ticket. Such is presented in the form of paper provided by our team upon purchase of trip or in an e-ticket provided by the online transaction company.

13. Sealife will not use email addresses or phone numbers for any other purposes than the ones directly linked to the client’s reservation of trip. This includes but is not limited to: confirmation of booking, confirmation of payment, issue of e-ticket, changes of schedule or cancelations.

14. Sealife strives to provide the client with the best experience and service possible, but we admit that, occasionally situations might arise. The client agrees therefore, to call attention to the problem to our team, giving us the opportunity to offer a solution to said situation before publishing any negative feedback on sites like: Facebook, Trip Advisor, Google + etc. If such comments sould appear, Sealife reserves the right to forward our Terms & Conditions policy to the administrations of said websites.

15. If delays occur, Sealife does not take responsibility on costs that might arise from said delay, such as but not limited to: parking fees, cancelation of other activities, connections lost, social events, etc. If trips are delayed and client needs to rebook or get a refund, such will be provided if possible.

16. The client agrees to listen and engage in the safety briefing provided by the team at the beginning of the trip. If due to any reason, the client doesn’t understand, it is the client’s responsibility to ask for a repeat of the briefing. During the trip, the client must follow and respect all instructions given by the team.

17. Sealife does not accept any responsibility for any item / item of value lost, stolen or damaged by water, impact or any other reason, during our trips. Items of value should not be brought on board, especially if the conditions are not the best. All items are brought on board at the client’s own risk.

18. If client suffers from seasickness, it is the client’s responsibility to take any medication prior to the any trip. The team will not return to port until the end of the trip, with the exception to extreme cases that should made aware immediately before the trip or as soon as they occur.

19. The client agrees to wear a lifejacket, provided by Sealife, during the entire trip and any of the trips: Dolphin Watching, Coastal to Sagres and Benagil Cave.

20. Sealife reserves the right to deny transportation of clients that show clear signs of intoxication and / or inebriation due to alcohol or drugs. Transportation or consumption of said substances is strictly forbidden. Transportation of weapons of any sort is strictly forbidden.

21. Sealife will not tolerate abusive behaviour whether physical, verbal or of any other nature directed to the team or any other client participating. Such behaviour will result in the immediate return to port, without refund. Extreme cases will be communicated to the authorities and dealt with accordingly.

22. All trips operate under strict responsibility policies regarding wildlife, under guidance of the Portuguese ICNF – Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas – and the Portuguese DGRM – Direção Geral de Recursos Naturais, Segurança e Serviços Marítimos – for all subjects related to boats and crew.

23. Minimum number os passengers (clients) required on board the RIB’s is 4 paying adults for the Dolphin Watching trip and the Coastal to Sagres trip and 6 paying adults for Benagil Cave trip. Minimum number of passengers required on board the Catamaran is 6 paying adults for the Dolphin Watching trip. If trips are reserved for less than the minimum required, Sealife will provide the client with a possibility of rebooking, alternative company or refund if none of prior options are possible. Such will be decided by the client.
